We are playing and remembering
Sunny day, smiles on the faces, gleeful games, positive energy, and joyfulness of everyone attending have resulted in happy moments and exquisitely pleasant socialization in the Center for education, sport, and recreation Safet Zajko.
Last Sunday from 17:00 pm, older and younger siblings of the Older brother, older sister program, volunteers of the Association for the addiction prevention NARKO-NE and the Foundation Muharem Berbic, as well as other attendees of the Center, enjoyed the playful games that were prepared by volunteers of the Foundation for support and development of the mentorship program Older brother, older sister.
As part of the campaign Let us run for a child's smile, we have organized a meetup titled Forgotten games, at which we have played the games that marked our childhoods a long time ago. Games such as: skipping rope, jumping ropes, red light, green light, twister, Hula-hop, and dodgeball, excited the young ones as well as adults.
„There is no rule here that someone can't play a certain game, whether because of age or some other reason – we are all playing all the games and honestly enjoying ourselves. The young ones are showing us adults their new ways of playing, and we are gladly remembering how it used to be, how we used to play and fulfill our childhood. A wonderful time for the whole family, and we really hope that another such or similar meetup will happen soon again.“, said miss Alma, who participated with her two daughters.
Visitors also had a chance to, by talking to older and younger brothers and sisters, find out more about the Older brother, older sister program, about the campaign which lasts till the 31st of July, as well as about ways of donating to the Foundation Older brother, older sister.
Another successful event is behind our diligent team, and we are continuing to create a happy childhood for the kids in need. The next planned activity is Sarajevski cener, held on July 15th this year, which we are organizing in cooperation with Marathon Association Sarajevo and Philanthropic forum B&H.
