How Wonderful It Is When Old Friends Meet Again!

The Association Nova Generacija from Banja Luka is one of the initiators and founders of the Older Brother, Older Sister program in Bosnia and Herzegovina, alongside the Association for Addiction Prevention Narko-NE from Sarajevo. Due to organizational changes, our friends from the Association Nova Generacija had not been actively implementing the Older Brother, Older Sister program for several years, but now they are successfully moving forward with their second cycle and expecting an increase in the number of pairs next year.

During the monitoring visit in Banja Luka last weekend, held at the premises of the Association Nova Generacija, we learned that the satisfaction with the implementation of the Older Brother, Older Sister program is mutual. Coordinator Tatjana Risojević expressed her excitement about the positive changes and the impact this program has on both children and volunteers. She is always available for volunteers and children, regularly communicating about program activities with both the participants and the children's parents and guardians. Every day, she strives to support the volunteers, providing feedback and encouraging them in their volunteer work.

I would like to highlight how delighted we are that the children have recognized the importance of healthy eating in their daily lives. Although last year, during a workshop, they lobbied for Coca-Cola at gatherings, this time they welcomed us with a healthy eating workshop where they prepared a colorful salad for lunch and delicious, healthy treats.

Following the monitoring visit, Tatjana shared a heartfelt message, which we are pleased to share with you:

"We look forward to each of your visits, especially the children. Our meetings are very inspiring and emotional for the children, who feel special because of the attention and support you provide during your visits. Your dedication and work inspire us to create a positive environment for children, encourage their development, and offer the support they need."

We are truly happy to have our old Nova Generacija back, and we firmly believe that we will continue our collaboration for many years to come!
