Let’s run for a child’s smile
In the endeavor to spread love, benevolence, and philanthropy, but to promote healthy life habits as well, the diligent team of the Foundation for support and development of the mentorship program Older brother, older sister has decided to “speed things up” in their everyday life and to organize the campaign “Let’s run for a child’s smile’, in association with the crew from NGO Marathon Sarajevo and Filantropskim forumom. This is their eighth campaign through which they are trying to make it possible for a more significant number of pairs of children and volunteers to spend quality time together in the future. Namely, through the motto:” One kilometer = one pocket-money”, which amounts to 30 BAM, they are creating a happier childhood for the kids in need. The aim of the campaign is to secure finances to be used for the purposes of socialization between the volunteers and children that are coming from vulnerable categories (i.e. children from a foster home and children whose families are users of a center for social work).
At the core of the campaign lies the planned race – “Najbržih 5K u regiji” ROOF GARDENS by XYLLION that will be held on 22th of March 2022 at Trebevic mountain. Everyone who is interested can show their support by participating in the race or just by donating to the fond Older brother, older sister.
Besides these, three more exquisitely interesting events await them, at which socialization with everyone who wants to be a part of this inspirative story is being planned.
Owing to the successful work of 18 years of the implementation of the Older brother, older sister program, they triumphantly continue to make it possible for the children nationwide, who do not have the same opportunities as their peers for healthy development and nourishment of their potential, through the excellent, kind and supportive relationship with a volunteer, to create a positive picture of themselves, to spend quality time, to develop practical life skills and widen the network of friends.
Therefore, the team of the Foundation Older brother, older sister is using this opportunity to invite all companies, organizations, institutions, as well as interested individuals to support the socialization of volunteers and children by donating to the Fond Older brother, older sister, or by participating in the aforementioned race.
